Dog Birthday Cakes

How many of you with dogs celebrate your dog's birthday or gotcha day? Do you get a cake? The plethora of dog birthday cakes out there amazes me. A lot of times they look better than cakes for people. I'm sure they have better ingredients. I've always bought or baked a cake or cupcake for my dogs - however, I have taken the easy road and bought vanilla cakes or cupcakes for people and given it to the dogs before as well. There are no dog bakeries in my town and that leaves me the option of driving 30 minutes to the nearest dog bakery, baking the cake myself, or buying a cake/cupcake for people. Below are some examples of past cakes my dogs have gotten on their birthday:

                                          Yukiko's cake on her 8th Birthday

                               Deshi's peanut butter cupcakes on his 3rd Birthday

                       Tetsuya's carob cake from Three Dog Bakery on his 5th Birthday

    Where did you get those peanut butter cupcakes??? Wow! Your dogs are so spoiled :)

    I actually bought vanilla cupcakes at a local grocery store and scraped off the icing with all the artificial food coloring etc. on it and spread organic peanut butter on top.
